RDA Engineering, Inc. provided feasibility, marketing and design for district heating systems for the City of Piqua, Ohio, which serve local industrial customers from a coal-fired power plant that cogenerates heat and electric power. RDA was responsible for its initial conceptualization, feasibility, business planning, securing customers, financial arrangements, project specifications, and construction supervision.
The Piqua system began operation in 1983.
